In this practicum project, I acted as both the Project Manager and Backend Developer for our team of five. We created an offline mobile-first application as per client requirements, and implemented database connectivity to AWS DynamoDB. The database stored data types of Organizations, Properties, and Inspections.

Achievements:

Numerous milestones were reached, leading to client appreciation in our work. Most notably, we were able to achieve our goal of learning the stack of AWS Services with React Native, while also maintaining the client's project requirements.

This project was a 5-man group practicum project with a client who had an existing code base for their quiz application. The group was assigned numerous tickets which focused around updating and creating several core features related to the application.

Achievements

Our group achieved the main requirements of the client. Although additional tickets were still available by the end of the project time, the group was successful in completing the core features as listed by the client.

• Implemented real-time data analytics with the aid of the Highcharts JS library and Socket.io
• Created a search function for the application which allowed users to select preloaded games and questions from a MySQL database
• Created a button that allowed a modal popup allowing users to visit unique game links
• Proper Git control and GitLab workflow

A simple web-based memory game application projected created by myself that adjusts difficulty and size of the tiles based on the user's ability to memorize tile patterns.

• Implemented memory pattern logic that challenges the user based on their memory level
• Created a top 5 person leaderboard that shows following each game, made possible with specific database query calls
• Stored API endpoints in a Heroku server, appropriately labelled to show the specified queries
